The Annual Rochester Area Heritage Festival is celebrating its 31st year this Memorial Day Weekend at Rochester Municipal Park. This family-friendly festival commemorates the past, present, and future of the Greater Rochester Area. A special feature this year is the Michigan Petanque Club's challenge to the Guinness World Record of 40 hours, nine minutes. Players from across the country are invited to join the attempt beginning at 5:00 pm Friday, May 23, and running throughout the festival. Come watch the challenge or try your hand at Petanque (French Bocce) on the adjacent courts at Halbach Field! All proceeds to benefit the Leader Dogs for the Blind. The Rochester Area Heritage Festival has something for everyone and all ages. Experience our heritage - past, present, and future through exhibits, games, crafts, food, music and much more! |
